Journey to the small island of Kumbalangi for a glimpse into the lives of the local villagers. Tonight attend an evening performance of traditional Kathakali dance.

Kochi – Alleppey
Your Kochi city tour includes visits to the old Jewish synagogue, the mythological murals of Mattancherry Palace, and the Church of St Francis. Transfer to the local jetty to board your houseboat for a cruise on the backwaters of Alleppey where you spend the night.

Kumarakom
Disembark and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore. Perhaps enjoy an Ayurveda treatment, for which Kerala is renowned.

Kumarakom
For those who want to rise early this morning there is an included bird watching tour at Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Set within lush acres of woodland, become acquainted with the variety of migratory birds that flock to the Himalayas. Return to the hotel for breakfast. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy the beautiful backwater environment.
