Singapore - Lanzhou

Your vacation starts with a pleasant flight via Kunming to Lanzhou-the capital city of Ganshu Province. Lanzhou is also an important stop along the Silk Road with a history of over 2,000 year. Today visit the Yellow River Iron Bridge, Mother Statue of the Yellow River and Ancient Water Wheel. Maybe you will have some idea on why Chinese people regard Yellow River as their Mother River.

Lanzhou — Wuwei — Zhangye

Depart for Wuwei and take a visit to Jiumoluoshi Pagoda. Then continue your coach journey to Zhangye, one of the most important cites along so-called Hexi Corridor. After lunch, visit Giant Buddha Temple, the biggest indoor sleeping Buddha in China.

Zhangye — Jiuquan — Jiayuguan

After breakfast, coach to Jiayuguan, the west ending point of the Great Wall of China, earning the name “the First and Greatest Pass under the Heaven”. The city culture of Jiayuguan is a combination of Great Wall and Silk Road. It boasts many historical relics referring to these two wonders. The famous ones include Jiayuguan Pass, Jiayuguan Museum and Luminous Factory in Jiuquanas well.

Jiayuguan — Dunhuang

Morning, proceed to Dunhuang - the pearl along ancient Silk Road in Gansu Province. Later, proceed to Echoing-Sand Hill offering superb picture-look desert scenery. The thunder-like sound produced when sliding down along the sands is tremendous. Surrounded by the Echoing-Sand Hill, the Crescent Spring can be called a natural wonder in the Gobi Desert. Having been lying among these sand dunes for thousands of years, although given many attacks by sandstorms, Crescent Spring still gurgles clear and still remains worthy as the first spring in the desert. (Camel-riding at own expenses). Next visit JinSilu Local Specialties Shop. After dinner, take s stroll at Shazhou Night Market.

Dunhuang — Liuyuan —Turpan

Today’s highlight will surely be Mogao Grottoes, a World Heritage Site on the Silk Road.Located near the ancient town of Dunhuang in northwestern China, the caves are a depository of historical and cultural exchanges over more than a thousand years between China and other nations. After that, coach to Liuyuan for your express train to Turpan (around 4hrs journey. Check-in luggage to be carried by your self)

Turpan — Urumqi

Start the day with a visit to the well-known Flaming Mountain and Jiaohe Ancient Town, the most famous ancient cities along the Silk Road. It is found from underground 2000 years ago. Next make a stop at Uygur Ethnic Village to explore the unique folklore and culture. After a visit to Silu Carpet Store, we proceed to Karez System-thelife resources of the oasis. Karez system is very delicate irrigation system made up of vertical wells, underground canals, above-ground canals and small reservoirs. Lastly visit the Grape Valley covered with layer upon layer of grapes especially in autumn. You can taste fresh fruit in Uyghur’s’ House and enjoy dancing with local Uygur people as well.

Urumqi – Tianchi - Beitun

Today enjoy your day tour to Tianshan Mountain scenic area. Highlight will surely be Tianchi Lake. Also known as Heavenly Lake, this crescent-shaped lake deserves its name, Pearl of Heavenly Mountain (Tianshan Mountain). With melted snow as its source, Heavenly Lake enjoys crystal water. Take a boat ride on the lake to explore the amazing scenery. Thereafter coach to Beitun.

Beitun - Buerjin - Kanas

After breakfast, head for Kanas Nature Reserve. Located at Altay region, Kanas Lakeis mysterious and charming and rich in animal and plant resources. Make s stop and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Crouching Dragon Bay, Moon Bay, Yaze Lake and Angel Bay.Next you will take a sightseeing bus to Kanas.

Today you will take a sightseeing bus to Kanas Secnic Area. Acend the Fish-viewing Pavilion where you can get an anatomic view of Kanas Lake. Various colors in the bay account for its name. Karamay is well-known as Oil City. On the way, you can see the derrick everywhere. Today’s highlight should be the legendary Ghost City (tram included), where there is a unique wind-eroded geological feature. Ghost City is characterized by its unique scene caused by wind erosion, lies in the Urho district that is 100 kilometers north of Karamay. Also it is the filming location of the well-known movie <Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon>. After that, coach to Urumqi and visit Yulongxiang Jade Gallery. After that, proceed to International Bazaar for your shopping spree.Tonight enjoy Xinjiang International Bazaar Ethnic performance with buffet dinner at own expense.
