DAY 1
SINGAPORE - DUBAI - SHIRAZ
Fly to Shiraz, via Dubai. Upon arrival, make a photo stop at Karim Khan Citadel. Dominating the city centre, this medieval style fortress was built in the early Zand period and used as a prison. Nearby is the Vakil Bazaar. Besides being home to almost 200 stores selling carpets, handicrafts, spices and clothes, it bears a striking example of the Zand dynastic architecture. Round the day at the Quran Gate, a historic gate located at the entrance of the city of Shiraz.

DAY 2
SHIRAZ
This morning, enjoy a city tour of Shiraz. Commonly known as Pink Mosque, the Nasir ol Molk Mosque attracts most visitors early in the morning when the hall and its Persian carpets are illuminated with a kaleidoscope of patterned flecks of light which makes for a magical experience. Shah Cheragh Mausoleum - A name that translates into King of the Light. It contains tombs of important figures in Shia Islam. Be amazed by the dazzling Venetian mirror work stained glass windows and intricate wooden door at Ali Ibne Mosque. There is no better place to understand Hafez’s place in the nation’s psyche than at his tomb and the memorial garden at which it is set.

DAY 3
SHIRAZ - PERSEPOLIS - MARVDASHT - YAZD
Another exciting day awaits as you depart Shiraz and head to one of the world’s most popular and famous architectural sites, Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire and also a Unesco World Heritage Site. Literally meaning the Persian city. This 2,500year old city is an architectural masterpiece that embodies the past glories of an ancient civilisation. The majestic site of Necropolis is a treasure trove documenting all of Iran’s history. Make a stop at Pasargadae, an Unesco Heritage Site and the first dynastic capital of the Achaemenid Empire.

DAY 4
YAZD
Zoroastrianism is one of the most ancient pre-Islamic religion of Iran that survives in isolated areas with the fire temple being the place of workshop and Tower of Silence being the place where ancient Zoroastrians rest the dead in order to avoid contaminating the earth. The wonderful old castle of Saryazd Fortress was once used as a giant safety deposit box for the protection of grains and other valuables. Roam the Fahadan Quarter. This is the oldest part of the city where houses are made of sun-dried bricks and walls are made of mud and straw. Some of the oldest monuments of the city can be found here. Proceed to Amir Chakhmaq Complex, a prominent structure with elaborate facade of symmetrical sunken alcoves with 2 very tall minarets in the centre.

DAY 5
YAZD - MEYBOD - ISFAHAN
Lying on the silk route, Narin Castle built as early as 4,000 BC was used by soldiers who provided an armed escort for passing caravans with a tax for their services. Make a stop at the Pigeon Tower, a place for collection of guano before continuing to Isfahan. First stop in Isfahan is the Vank Cathedral, historic focal point of the Armenian Church in Iran. Round off the day with a stop at Si-O-Seh-Pol also known as Allahverdi Khan Bridge. Marvels at its characteristic Safavid design of 33 arches built on a series of pontoons across a total length of almost 300m.

DAY 6
ISFAHAN
After breakfast, see Chehel Sotoun, also known as 40 columns - so named because the 20 columns supporting the entrance pavilion resembles 40 columns when reflected in the fountain waters. Next is the Meidan Emam, one of the largest city squares in the world and a designated Unesco World Heritage Site. The Shah Mosque situated on the south side of this square remains the most iconic representation while on the west side is Ali Qapu Palace, with its ornamental entrance gage extending 48m wide and rising to a height of 7 storeys. On the east is Sheikh Lotfallah Mosque, a private mosque for the royal court. Finally, proceed to Khaju Bridge, this bridge doubles as a dam with locks in the lower terraced arcade regulating water flow.

DAY 7
ISFAHAN - KASHAN - QOM
With its symmetrical proportions, old cedars, spring fed pools and fountains, Fin Garden is renowned as being the very epitome of the Persian garden and its evocation of heaven. The historic Tabatabaei House in Kashan was built in the early 1880s for the affluent Tabatabaei family. Registered as a national heritage site, the objective of the Sultan Amir Bathhouse was not only to promote cleanliness, but also a place of relaxation, discussions and even praying. Make a photo stop at Fatima Masumeh Shrine, considered by Shia Muslims to be the second most scared shrine in Iran.

DAY 8
QOM - TEHRAN
Set off for the capital of Iran, Tehran. First stop in Tehran is the lavish Golestan Palace or Palace of Flowers. The Unesco palace is a masterpiece of the Qajar era, embodying the successful integration of earlier Persian crafts and architecture with Western influences. Next is the Azadi Tower. Built in 1971 to commemorate the 2500th anniversary of the first Persian empire, the inverted Y shaped Tower is one of Tehran’s visual icons. Finally, a stop at one of the local hyper-market for some local Iranians tidbits etc to bring home.

DAY 9
TEHRAN - DUBAI
Spend some time at Tarjrish Bazaar, the place for some classic Iranian shipping experiences before transfer to the airport.
