DAY 1 |
SINGAPORE – BEIJING
Assemble at Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Beijing, the capital city of China. Upon arrival, proceed to view the exterior of two landmark buildings for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games – Beijing National Stadium (The “Bird’s Nest”) and Beijing National Aquatics Centre (The “Water Cube”). Thereafter, head to Wangfujing Shopping Street which is lined with departmental stores and specialty shops offering a wide variety of goods for your shopping indulgence.

DAY 2 |
FORBIDDEN CITIES/TIANANMEN SQUARE/HUTONG/BEIJING TRADITIONAL COURTYARDS
After breakfast, explore the Forbidden City, where you will visit both the Royal Palace and the Inner Court. Entering from the Meridian Gate, you will see a cluster of palace complex. Head to the three halls which is the focus of the palace complex – the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the Hall of Central Harmony, and the Hall of Preserving Harmony, used by the Emperor when holding court to discuss affairs of the state and conducting ceremonies. The Emperor and Empress from the Qing Dynasty lived at the Hall of Mental Cultivation while the imperial consorts lived at the Palace of Gathering Excellence. View the Imperial Garden and the Office of Grand Council of State. Also, board the City Wall to have a bird-eye view of the Forbidden City. Thereafter, proceed to visit the famous Tiananmen Square. In the afternoon, enjoy a trishaw ride through Hutong, have an exterior view of the Drum Tower (Gulou). Travelling through the alleys and brick walls, Hutong is one of the iconic areas which best illustrates the lifestyle and stories of the olden Beijing. Along the way, visit old Beijing traditional courtyards to better understand the daily lives and lifestyle of local residents.

DAY 3 |
TEMPLE OF HEAVEN/ROYAL GASTRONOMY MUSEUM
After breakfast, visit the Temple of Heaven, China’s largest temple structure where the Emperors from the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed to the heaven for good weather and harvest. The building is completely made of wood and constructed with no nails. Next, visit the Royal Gastronomy Museum which displays exhibits of imperial food from the various dynasties. It is also a restaurant where you can experience imperial etiquette and watch a Qing Dynasty dance performance while enjoying the Chinese Imperial cuisine. Imagine yourself as an emperor or empress and be delightfully entertained by the mesmerizing performances.

DAY 4 |
BEIJING – GUBEI WATERTOWN/SIMATAI GREAT WALL (inclusive of two-way cable car)
After breakfast, visit the Northern Ancient Water Town, also known as ‘Northern of Wuzhen, proceed to Simatai Great Wall, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. As it still retains its original Ming period refortification, UNESCO has affirmed that the Simatai section of the Great Wall is a unique representative section of the Ming period. Enjoy a leisurely ride in the state-of-the-art cable car, a technologically advanced single line ropeway designed by POMA from France, to view the spectacular beauty of the Great Wall at Simatai.

DAY 5 |
GUBEI WATERTOWN – BEIJING/XIUSHUI STREET/ PERFORMANCE (OWN EXPENSE)
After breakfast, you may explore the water town at your own pace. After lunch, transfer to Beijing and spend your leisure time shopping at Xiushui Street. Thereafter, you may watch “The Legend of Shaolin Gongfu Performance” at your own expense after dinner.
